SAP Project Systems

• SAP PS Configuration: Configure and maintain SAP Project System master data and transactional data, including Project Definitions and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) structures. Assist in data migration projects related to SAP PS.
• Results Analysis: Use your working knowledge of Results Analysis and financial concepts to support project cost and revenue analysis and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Financial Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and demonstrate a strong understanding of finance concepts. Work on business documentation related to financial aspects within SAP PS. Ensure seamless integration with SAP FI/CO modules.
• Integration with Other SAP Modules: Establish and maintain robust integration between SAP PS and other SAP modules, with a particular focus on FI/CO, SD, and HR (CATS). Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
• Cost/Revenue Planning: Engage in cost and revenue planning activities within SAP PS. Familiarity with CO Versions, Value categories, and cost/revenue planning processes is crucial.
• Cost/Revenue/ forecasting Planning. based on all commitments from HR (payroll – consultants) and CPD (POs – PR).
• Results Analysis and Reporting: Implement Results Analysis processes and generate meaningful reports. Maintain the Budget Information System and create hierarchy reports for cost/revenue tracking.
• Implement Project closing and project extension activities as per standard SAP guidelines.
• Handling the integration part with other modules.
• Any task related to SAP PS to finalize this project.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design & Configuration: Configure SAP PS structures (WBS, Networks, Activities, Milestones) in ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA, including Cost Planning, Budgeting, and Availability Control

·        Integration: Lead integration points with SAP FICO (Project Settlement, Results Analysis), MM (Procurement), SD (Milestone Billing), and PP/PM.

·        Implementation & Support: Handle end-to-end implementation (Blueprint to Go-Live) and provide post-go-live support, resolving functional defects, and handling change requests

·         Process Optimization: Implement best practices for project-based business processes, such as Engineering to Order (ETO), Make to Order (MTO), and Capital Projects.

·         Data Migration & Testing: Validate data migration for projects, WBS, and budgets, and execute Unit Testing (UT) and System Integration Testing (SIT).

·        Functional Documentation: Create functional specifications (RICEFW objects) and user training manuals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 7-8+ years in SAP PS with experience in at least 2-4 full life cycle implementations.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and hands-on experience in S/4HANA PS (including understanding simplified transactions/Fiori apps).
• Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of EPC, Manufacturing, or Professional Services industries.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or MBA.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.

Commonly Sought Qualifications

• SAP Certification in Project System (SAP PS).
• Knowledge of SAP EPPM (Enterprise Project Portfolio Management).
