Role Purpose:

The SAP IBP Systems Specialist will be accountable to build new and/or deploy existing IT solutions to be used by Demand, Supply and Production Planners. Act as regional IT Business Partner for SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS and OMP embedded into the global IT team. Responsible for ensuring project execution aligns with Lonza standards and policies. Provide IT support for complex incidents and problems (3rd level support).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with business colleagues to implement SAP and non SAP demand, supply and production planning functionality based on business requirements.
  • Understand the concept for the production of products and how MRP is used to plan the materials and work. Translate requirements into SAP configuration.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, process integration, development and authorization partners to deliver requested standard and or custom IT solutions.
  • Work together with team members to gather user requirements, consult with customers regarding IT solutions, develop concepts and specifications, facilitate workshops, configure and customize systems, ensure quality of test scripts, conduct functional testing and support business testing, contribute to the development of training documentation, deliver training sessions, manage data migration activities, maintain global process and system governance, and align with GMP and quality policies.
  • Transfer new applications to the support organization. Delegate common incidents and problems to the IT support organization.
  • Provide 3rd level support for complex incidents. Contribute to the resolution of critical / urgent incidents

Key requirements:

  • Expertise in SAP IBP Demand and Supply Planning as well as SAP APO PPDS.
  • Knowhow in other Production Scheduling Systems such as OMP an advantage.
  • Business knowledge of MRP and knowledge of how SAP uses MRP for planning
  • System configuration and/or customization knowhow
  • Good understanding of the business processes and concepts being used in production systems
  • IT project methodology understanding
  • Analytical skills
  • Can effectively collaborate and communicate with internal and external partners
  • Presentation and moderation skills
