SAP IBP Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Consultant to design, implement, configure, and support SAP IBP solutions for enterprise supply chain planning. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and technical expertise across SAP IBP modules, hands-on experience in end-to-end implementation projects, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable supply chain planning solutions.

The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, supply chain planners, SAP functional teams, and technical teams to deliver efficient planning processes, improve forecast accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and enable data-driven business decisions.

• Lead or contribute to end-to-end SAP IBP implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.
• Configure and support SAP IBP modules, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Response and Supply, and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), based on project requirements.
• Gather business requirements, conduct workshops, perform fit-gap analysis, and translate business needs into functional specifications and planning solutions.
• Design and configure planning areas, planning levels, key figures, attributes, master data, time profiles, versions, and planning operators.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasting models, statistical forecasting methods, consensus demand planning processes, and forecast error analysis.
• Configure supply planning processes, including supply-demand balancing, capacity planning, sourcing, and inventory optimization, where applicable.
• Design and support scenario planning, what-if simulations, alerts, and exception-based planning to improve supply chain visibility and responsiveness.
• Integrate SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP APO, and other enterprise systems using available integration technologies.
• Work with SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services (CI-DS), SAP Integration Suite, real-time integration, or other relevant integration mechanisms, depending on the landscape.
• Troubleshoot data integration issues, planning operator failures, calculation errors, and performance bottlenecks.
• Support data validation, reconciliation, testing, and integration between SAP IBP and source systems.
• Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, integrations, and reporting requirements.
• Execute unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Support deployment activities, cutover planning, production go-live, hypercare, and ongoing application support.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration guides, test scripts, training materials, and end-user documentation.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and cross-functional SAP teams in Agile or other enterprise delivery environments.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP).
• Good understanding of supply chain planning processes, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and S&OP.
• Practical experience configuring SAP IBP planning areas, key figures, planning levels, master data, planning operators, and supply chain planning models.
• Experience with SAP IBP Excel add-in and web-based planning interfaces.
• Knowledge of SAP IBP integration with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC.
• Experience in data integration, data mapping, troubleshooting, and reconciliation.
• Understanding of forecasting algorithms, statistical models, planning heuristics, and optimization techniques relevant to the selected IBP modules.
• Experience in requirements gathering, functional design, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• SAP IBP certification or relevant SAP IBP training.
• Experience in multiple end-to-end SAP IBP implementation or global rollout projects.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain, SAP APO, SAP PP/DS, or SAP Digital Supply Chain solutions.
• Experience with SAP IBP Response and Supply, Order-Based Planning (OBP), or time-series-based planning, where relevant.
• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), supply chain analytics, dashboards, and planning reports.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe delivery environments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, retail, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or other complex supply chain environments.
