SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Technical Architect

We are expanding our North American team and seeking an experienced SAP GTS Technical Architect to lead innovative trade transformation programs and architect robust compliance solutions across a diverse set of industries.

Location: Canada

Travel: ~50 -80%

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of technical consultants across all phases of SAP GTS implementations, including discovery, design, development, testing, user training, go-live, hypercare, and post-production support.
• Drive the development and enhancement of technical capabilities within the SAP GTS team.
• Design, develop, and implement SAP GTS solutions, focusing on Compliance Management, Customs Processing, and Preference Management.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using SAP ABAP and related technologies.
• Develop and customize SAP GTS components including Customs, Compliance, and Preference Management modules.
• Support migration projects and optimize the performance of GTS modules.
• Implement or enhance Fiori applications to improve user experience and process efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and cost-effective SAP GTS solutions.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Required

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP technologies.
  • Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP GTS implementation in a hands-on technical role.
  • Strong expertise in SAP ABAP development.
  • 6–8 years of hands-on SAP GTS experience, particularly in Compliance Management, Preference Management, and Customs modules.
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA and Fiori applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  Preferred

  • Experience with E4H upgrades or migration projects.
  • Knowledge of Bonded Warehouse, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), and Customs Filing processes.

  Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a global team environment.
