An SAP MM Functional Analyst is responsible for analysing business requirements and translating them into effective SAP Material Management (MM) solutions. The role involves configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP MM processes such as procurement, purchasing, inventory management, material valuation, and invoice verification. The analyst works closely with business users to understand operational needs, manages master data including material and vendor records, and ensures accurate pricing and release strategies. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP MM with other modules such as SD, PP, FI, and WM/EWM, prepare functional specifications for system enhancements, and support testing activities including unit testing and UAT. Additionally, the SAP MM Functional Analyst provides user training, documentation, and ongoing support, troubleshoots system issues, and ensures that SAP solutions align with business processes and best practices.
Requirements
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP MM processes including procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification
- Hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration, implementation, or support projects
- Good understanding of business processes related to materials management and logistics
- Experience with SAP integration across modules such as SD, PP, FI, and WM/EWM
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- SAP MM certification or experience with SAP S/4HANA MM is an added advantage
