SAP FIORI Developer

We are seeking a creative and technically proficient SAP Fiori Developer to lead the transformation of our user experience. In this role, you won't just be building apps; you will be designing the "face" of our S/4HANA system. You will utilize SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and modern development paradigms like RAP and CAP to deliver responsive, consumer-grade applications that empower our business users and streamline complex workflows.

Technical Requirements

• Core UI: 4+ years of expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• SAP Frameworks: Advanced knowledge of SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements.

• Backend Connectivity: Proven experience with OData (V2/V4) and SAP Gateway troubleshooting.

• Tools: Mastery of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), VS Code, and Git/GitHub for version control.

• Platform: Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services (Destination service, XSUAA, Connectivity).

Soft Skills

• User-Centric Mindset: You advocate for the end-user and don't settle for "functional but clunky" interfaces.

• Agile Collaboration: Comfortable working in Scrum/Agile sprints and participating in daily stand-ups.

• Problem Solver: Ability to debug complex UI issues using Chrome DevTools and SAPUI5 Inspector.

Key Responsibilities

• App Development: Design and develop custom SAPUI5 applications and Fiori Elements (List Report, Object Page, Analytical List Page) using the latest OData V4 standards. 

• Clean Core Architecture: Extend and enhance standard Fiori apps using side-by-side extensibility on SAP BTP to keep the S/4HANA core stable. 

• Full-Stack Awareness: Collaborate with backend developers to design and consume CDS Views and service definitions via the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) or Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP). 

• UX Design: Apply SAP Fiori Design Guidelines to ensure a consistent, role-based, and intuitive user experience across all devices (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile).

• Launchpad Management: Configure and maintain the SAP Fiori Launchpad (Spaces, Pages, and My Home) and integrate apps into SAP Build Work Zone.

• Innovation: Implement intelligent features using SAP AI Core or Joule (SAP’s AI Copilot) to enhance app functionality with predictive insights or natural language processing.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Preferred: SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Fiori Application Developer.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Project location Budapest - Hybrid

• Ability to participate in virtual meetings across multiple time zones.
