PPG Industries, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh PA, has a work-at-home SAP EHS-GLM Consultant position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems) to support the Global SAP Centre of Excellence by designing and implementing technical SAP network solutions based on business unit and user requirements. Specific duties include: (i) proposing SAP program configurations and recommending changes to improve network systems; (ii) determining design specifications and ensuring SAP process improvement as well as optimization of technology implementations; (iii) developing testing procedures as well as testing and documenting SAP solutions; and (iv) evaluating the x-stream of all proposed IT solutions.
This is a fully remote position and the employee can work from anywhere in the United States.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a business-related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
Experience must include five (5) years with each of the following: (i) working with SAP EHS and GLM modules as well as end-to-end business processes within Product Safety, Global Label Management, Dangerous Goods & Substance Volume Monitoring; (ii) process design, configuration, and troubleshooting of SAP modules; and (iii) working with technical ABAP, including RICEFW objects & Interfaces.
Experience can be concurrent.
Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to various PPG locations.
