Role overviewWe are looking for a specialized SAP Oil Consultant to join a consulting engagement supporting a client in the Oil sector. This role requires genuine, hands-on expertise in Oil-specific SAP industry modules, not general SAP module experience gained at an oil company.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Hands-on design, configuration, and implementation of Oil-specific SAP modules (PRA - Production Revenue Accounting, JVA - Joint Venture Accounting, HPM - Hydrocarbon Product Management, Retail Fuel Network, or IS-Oil more broadly).
- Analyzing client business requirements specific to upstream/downstream Oil operations (e.g. joint venture accounting, revenue accounting, fuel retail) and translating them into SAP Oil-specific solutions.
- Participating in testing, go-live, and post-implementation support activities for Oil-specific functionality.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and client representatives to ensure successful project delivery.
- Preparing functional documentation and supporting knowledge transfer on Oil-specific processes.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Hands-on configuration/implementation experience with at least one Oil-specific SAP module: PRA, JVA, HPM, Retail Fuel Network, or IS-Oil.
- SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
- Good understanding of end-to-end implementation lifecycle (AS-IS/TO-BE, configuration, testing, deployment).
- Strong English communication skills.
Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years hands-on SAP experience in the Oil & Gas / Energy sector
- Prior experience as an SAP Consultant
- Strong knowledge of at least one core SAP module (FI/CO, SD, MM, or similar)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Understanding of end-to-end implementation lifecycle (AS-IS/TO-BE, configuration, testing, deployment)
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to prepare functional documentation and support knowledge transfer
