Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned SAP BTP AI Developer/Consultant to design, develop, and deploy

enterprise-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions on the SAP Business Technology

Platform.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in BTP extension

frameworks with practical experience in AI orchestration (Joule, RAG) to deliver intelligent

workflows that enhance business processes across S/4HANA landscapes.

Key Skills for the Job

SAP & AI Skills:

SAP BTP or SAP Generative AI certification is highly desirable

Should have experience on integrating Large Language Models (OpenAI, Claude) and Python-

based AI frameworks (LangChain).

Familiarity with AI-powered development tools like Github Copilot or Claude Code.

Should have experience with at least three of the components in SAP BTP, for example, SAP

Joule AI, SAP integration suite, SAP extension suite, SAP database and data management, SAP

HANA Cloud

Should lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP BTP services (Integration Suite,

Extension Suite, HANA Cloud)

Should be able to build custom applications using BTP’s Extension Suite and ensure they meet

business needs

Should have the ability to address technical issues, plans, and solutions from both a business

perspective and a technical perspective providing pros and cons for recommended solutions,

particularly around BTP

Should have worked with tools such as SAP Business Application Studio, CAP (Cloud

Application Programming Model), SAP Build apps, Build Process automation, AI core, Joule and

APIs for development tasks.

Should have experience on side by side extensions

Minimum knowledge on building Fiori/UI5 applications using oData and CDS views

Requirements

Key Job Responsibilities

AI Solution Design: Design and build AI-driven applications and conversational AI agents (Agentic AI) using SAP BTP AI Core, GenAI Hub, and Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen).
BTP Development: Develop side-by-side extensions using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM - Node.js/Java), RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), and SAP Fiori/UI5.
Joule Implementation: Implement and configure SAP Joule copilots and Joule Studio to embed AI insights directly into SAP SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, or Ariba.
RAG & Knowledge Graphs: Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using SAP HANA Cloud Vector Engine and SAP Knowledge Graph for context-aware AI interactions.
Integration: Design API-first integrations (OData/REST) with SAP Integration Suite to connect AI services with SAP and non-SAP systems.
Mentorship: Guide junior colleagues, conduct code reviews, and drive adoption of AI best practices and "Clean Core" principles.

Customer Expectation Management

Should have experience in managing customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle with a proactive approach and positive attitude.

Eligibility

SAP BTP or SAP Generative AI certification is highly desirable
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SAP consulting with at least 3+ years working on SAP BTP services and 1+ years in AI/ML applications.
Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Cloud for data modeling and database management
Experience on SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Build Apps, Build Process Automation, AI core, Joule & other BTP services preferred

Skills Required

5+ years of experience in SAP consulting
3+ years of experience working with SAP BTP services
1+ year of experience in AI/ML applications
Experience integrating large language models such as OpenAI or Claude
Experience with Python-based AI frameworks such as LangChain
Experience with at least three SAP BTP components
Experience designing, configuring, and deploying SAP BTP services
Experience building custom applications using SAP BTP Extension Suite
Experience with SAP Business Application Studio, CAP, SAP Build Apps, Build Process Automation, AI Core, Joule, and APIs
Experience developing side-by-side extensions
Minimum knowledge of Fiori/UI5 applications using OData and CDS views
Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Cloud for data modeling and database management
SAP BTP or SAP Generative AI certification
Experience with SAP Build Apps, Build Process Automation, AI Core, Joule, and other BTP services
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in multicultural and diverse environments
Ability to manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle
Willingness to travel globally for short onsite assignments
