About the Team & Impact

Join the Government of Manitoba’s Digital and Technology Services team to lead SAP BASIS infrastructure efforts. You’ll ensure system stability, performance, and security while guiding a team of administrators in a large-scale ERP environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP BASIS administration and infrastructure management
  • Ensure system performance, availability, and security
  • Guide and mentor BASIS team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ERP projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Create reports and status updates for stakeholders
  • Support project planning and execution using PM methodologies
  • Maintain documentation and compliance standards
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work independently and manage deliverables with minimal supervision

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 7+ years in SAP BASIS administration
  • 7+ years in business/system analysis and solution architecture
  • 7+ years with SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, and other modules
  • 7+ years with Sybase/ASE and Microsoft Office tools
  • 3–5 years in a leadership role managing teams
  • Experience in large ERP programs and public sector
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse teams

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Indigenous business participation (Canadian or Manitoba)
  • Familiarity with Manitoba government processes
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMI, TOGAF)
  • Experience with remote team leadership

Skills Required
