SAP Basis Architect

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RISE with SAP Basis Architect to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our SAP environments within the RISE with SAP framework. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Basis administration, cloud environments, and a deep understanding of SAP's Private Cloud Edition (PCE) offerings. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Architecture:

• Develop and maintain the architecture for SAP systems within the RISE framework.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure the architecture aligns with industry best practices and SAP guidelines.

• Lead the implementation of SAP Basis components, including installation, configuration, and upgrades in the context of RISE with SAP
• Manage SAP landscapes across various environments (development, QA, production) in the RISE with PCE environment.
• Monitor and tune the performance of SAP systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Develop a technical roadmap and model for our SAP Customers so as to run operations smoothly and to achieve their Business KPIs such as availability SLAs, HA/DR framework and testing model, Technical model to support Business continuity plan and Disaster recovery.

• Work with cloud providers and internal teams to manage cloud infrastructure for SAP systems.
• Ensure proper backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes are in place.
• Optimize cloud resources to manage costs while maintaining system performance and availability.

• Implement and maintain security measures to protect SAP systems from unauthorized access and threats.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

1. Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support for SAP Basis issues and serve as a point of escalation for complex problems.
• Collaborate with SAP support and other vendors for issue resolution.

1. Documentation and Training:

• Create and maintain detailed documentation for SAP system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to other IT staff and business users as needed.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Proven lead experience in RISE with SAP and SAP PCE deployment Project (At least 2 RISE projects experience)
• Experience in Projects with RISE with SAP S/4 HANA Greenfield, Brownfield and Hybrid implementation scenarios
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, including SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and S/4HANA.
• Expertise in SAP system installations, migrations, upgrades, and patching in the context of RISE with SAP PCE
• Proficient in performance tuning, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts and authorization management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to present and lead discussions with Customer C Suite and SAP ECS RISE teams
• Ability to coach SAP Basis staff to be able to deliver value driven services on top of RISE with SAP services.
• Exceptional SAP architecting and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certified Application Specialist - SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition implementation with SAP Activate
• SAP Certified Technology Consultant - SAP S/4HANA Conversion and SAP System Upgrade
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager, Avantra and other SAP ALM tools.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and automation in the context of SAP systems.
