This Salesforce Technical Lead Engineer is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to continue to advance their technical skillset, demonstrate leadership and be an integral part of a dynamic team that is fundamental to our company's success! The position involves a balanced mix of design, leadership, and hands-on exploration, focused on our rep-facing Salesforce platform. This role requires a consistent track record in architecting enterprise solutions and leading multiple development teams to deliver business capabilities on time and with high-quality.

You will be:

  • Leading the development team to deliver capabilities from inception to production.
  • Leading daily design activities, promoting Agile practices, and coordinating with key collaborators to meet project deadlines and budget.
  • Estimating capability costs and collaborating with Technology and Product Leadership for efficient task prioritization and sequencing
  • Partnering with Schwab domain and enterprise architects to build scalable solutions.
  • Influencing external vendor partners to meet Schwab standards and ensure platform health.
  • Ensuring quality through automated testing, effective alerting, and proactive monitoring of solutions
  • Driving development and release process improvements through best practices and standards
  • Proactively identifying risks, establishing mitigation plans, and maintaining documentation and code quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive experience in succinctly synthesizing data and developing recommendations in strong business stories with PowerPoint, and effectively presenting to executive audiences.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to run multiple projects that vary in scope and complexity simultaneously, with a high sense of urgency.
  • Excellent understanding of and desire to shape Architecture and Development Standards.
  • Providing regular mentorship and technology support to the team

What you have

Required:

  • A minimum of 10 years of Salesforce development experience
    • At least 5 years as Lead and/or Architect.
    • Proven experience using Force.com development best practices Configuration and Customization framework of Salesforce.com in User Configuration, Security & Visibility Features such as OWD, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules, Custom Settings & Metadata Setup.
    • Experience working with the Force.com development platform: Apex Code (Triggers, Controllers and Batch classes), Visualforce pages, Web Service APIs and the Lightning Platform (Aura /LWC framework).
    • Several years showing proficiency with OAuth, real-time web service and asynchronous messaging integration patterns.
    • In-depth knowledge and experience in Scaled Agile principles, object-oriented analysis, iterative development process, design patterns, web application development and performance engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Administrator, Developer, and/or Architect certifications desired.
  • Experience in CI/CD using Atlassian tools like Bitbucket & Bamboo desired.
  • Experience with Financial Services Cloud and migration to FSC is a plus.
  • Experience with OmniStudio Components is a plus.
  • Financial Services / Retail Brokerage, Call Center experience is a plus.
  • Technical proficiencies with Java, Spring PCF and Kafka desired.
  • Experience with ETL technologies like Informatica Power Center and/or Talend is preferred.
  • Experience with database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server or MongoDB is preferred.
