Responsibilities
A Financial Services Solutions Architect plays a highly hands-on role in shaping client success. This individual is deeply involved in writing user stories, overseeing testing efforts, and building strong relationships with both the client and the Product Owner to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.
The ideal candidate is expected to have expert-level knowledge of Salesforce, with proficiency in two or more Clouds, including Financial Services Cloud. While a programming background is not required, the Solutions Architect must demonstrate strong capabilities in client presales and presentations, team leadership, and strategic thought leadership. This role demands a blend of technical acumen, business insight, and interpersonal skills to drive impactful solutions in the financial services domain.
You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will also contribute to a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading-edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.
This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor delivery team members.
- Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
- Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for the Salesforce domain.
- Write Stories and operate as a BA when necessary.
- Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
- Project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
- Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
- Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
- Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
- Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
- Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
- Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
- Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Salesforce.
- At least 2 project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) of the Salesforce platforms.
- Experience implementing Salesforce Financial Services Cloud in the last two years.
- Experience working with OmniStudio.
- Certification in Financial Servics Cloud as well as Core Salesforce Certifications.
- Understanding of financial services processes including client onboarding, compliance, and data security.
- Experience working with financial data models and workflows.
- Demonstrated success in delivering solutions for financial services clients.
- At least 3 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency.
- Solid understanding of delivery methodology and ability to lead teams in implementation.
- Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
- Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
- Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
- Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
- Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.
- Bachelor’s degree or commiserate experience.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730.
