About the role:
Kicksaw is seeking an experienced Solution Architect (SA) to help our clients find as much success as possible by translating business requirements into projects that are delivered on time and on target. The SA is an important member of our internal Delivery teams and brings a strategic, consultative perspective to planning and executing projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to support Salesforce implementations and drive successful client relationships in a consulting group looking to rid the world of the utilization model for billing!
What the Solution Architect will do:
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Provide options for clients, explaining the pros/cons of each
- Utilize Salesforce best practices for design work
- Lead technical discovery
- Manage testing and UAT for clients
- Create documentation on all projects to supply at the end of the engagement
- Communicate clearly and succinctly via email, Slack, or over the phone
- Provide realistic estimates for work and delivery times
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, in any capacity
- Stay organized and disciplined about tracking projects, delivery, and timelines
- Identify growth opportunities for the client throughout a project
The right person for this role should be able to handle any of these questions with ease:
- How can I build a dashboard to understand my sales funnel?
- What are some best practices when managing duplicates?
- We’re struggling with approval processes, opportunities, quotes… What should we be thinking about?
- We’ve been on HubSpot, how do we migrate to Salesforce?
- What is the order of operations in Salesforce?
- What are the differences between profiles, permission sets, and roles?
- When should I choose master-detail over lookup?
- When do you use Flows or Apex?
- What third-party tools can be integrated into Salesforce?
The right candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Salesforce admin experience
- 3+ years of Salesforce architecture experience
- 3+ years of client-facing consulting experience
- Required Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sharing and Visibility Architect, and Data Architect are required
- Ability to confidently analyze the impact of the solution on the state of the business goals and direct outcomes of solution implementation
- Ability to identify risks for scalability and suggest mitigation
- Ability to define a procedure and process to ensure solution delivery
- Ability to confidently demo solutions for clients
- Ability to take any business requirement and translate it into options for the client, explaining the pros/cons of each
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, in any capacity
- Ability to confidently scrutinize project constraints to analyze alternatives, mitigate risks, and conduct process re-engineering as necessary
- Comfortability challenging assumptions and pushing back on ideas or solutions that aren’t best practices
- Comfortability meeting ad hoc with clients to get a sense of technical requirements
- Organized and disciplined about tracking projects, delivery, and timelines
- Gives estimates for delivery times and work estimates that match reality
- Communicate clearly and succinctly via email, Slack, or over the phone
- Some travel may be required - 10-15%
Bonus points for:
- Experience working in a Salesforce consulting environment
- Experience working in a high-growth environment
- Experience with Health Cloud projects and clients
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ projects
- Additional Salesforce certifications: CPQ Specialist, Health Cloud Accredited Professional, Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, and/or Experience Cloud are preferred
Additional details:
This full-time position is 100% remote (must be based in the United States or Canada) and includes competitive pay, comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, & vision), unlimited PTO (with a four-week minimum requested), 18 paid company holidays, 401(k) match / RRSP match, technology stipend, professional development, annual company retreats, eligibility to participate in Kicksaw's profit-sharing and employee liquidity programs, and so much more!
- For candidates based in the United States, this position includes an annual base salary range of $100,000 - $150,000 USD
- For candidates based in Canada, this position includes an annual base salary range of $125,000 - $187,500 CAD
- Final compensation offers are based on level of experience, skillset, certifications, and education.
Note: We anticipate interviews for this role will start in January.
