The Salesforce Platform Lead serves as the technical subject matter expert for Salesforce across TMX Datalinx. In this role, you will be responsible for platform administration, configuration, workflow automation, reporting, data quality, user enablement, and CRM integrations. As a key technical leader within the Datalinx Platform & Data Management team, you will drive the continued evolution of Salesforce as a scalable enterprise CRM platform, integrating it with DataBP, the TMX Datalinx Webstore, Client Portal, Business Intelligence systems, marketing technologies, and broader commercial platforms.

  • Job Location: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office) – based in Toronto, ON

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary Salesforce administrator for TMX Datalinx, managing the day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of the platform.

  • Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, Flows, approval processes, dashboards, reports, user provisioning, profiles, permission sets, roles, and platform security.

  • Evaluate, implement, and promote the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities that improve Salesforce administration, data quality, reporting, workflow automation, and user productivity while reducing manual effort across commercial operations.

  • Monitor platform health, system performance, and CRM data quality, identifying opportunities to improve platform usability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

  • Manage Salesforce releases, enhancements, and change requests in collaboration with the TMX Enterprise Salesforce team.

  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Platform teams to evaluate business requirements and design scalable Salesforce workflows, automation, and CRM solutions that improve operational efficiency.

  • Document business processes, workflow standards, and platform administration procedures to support governance, consistency, and long-term platform sustainability.

  • Support user onboarding, training, adoption, and ongoing Salesforce administration while providing technical guidance to junior Salesforce and platform resources.

  • Lead Salesforce integration initiatives with the broader Datalinx platform ecosystem, including DataBP, the TMX Datalinx Webstore, Client Portal, Snowflake, Business Intelligence platforms, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ZoomInfo, BigDough, and other commercial technologies.

  • Partner with Technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver platform enhancements, integrations, data migrations, testing, and solution deployments.

  • Maintain CRM data quality through governance, deduplication, enrichment, and ongoing data management activities.

  • Develop and maintain Salesforce dashboards, reports, and operational metrics to support Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations.

  • Partner with Business Intelligence teams to enhance CRM reporting through Amazon QuickSight and other reporting platforms.

  • Analyze CRM data to identify trends, data quality issues, and opportunities for workflow optimization and process improvement.

  • Support Salesforce platform consolidation and integration activities associated with business growth, acquisitions, and future M&A initiatives.

Must Have(s)

  • 4–6 years of experience administering Salesforce or supporting enterprise CRM platforms.

  • Salesforce Administrator certification required. Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or other Salesforce certifications are considered an asset. 

  • Hands-on experience configuring Salesforce including Flows, reports, dashboards, objects, validation rules, security, and user management.

  • Experience supporting CRM integrations and business process automation.

  • Strong understanding of Sales Cloud, CRM best practices, and Salesforce data management.

  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into platform solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

  • Experience leading Salesforce enhancement projects and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to Have(s)

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Experience with ZoomInfo, BigDough Salesloft, HubSpot, Snowflake or similar commercial technology platforms.

  • Proficiency with reporting platforms like Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Familiarity with SQL and API-based integrations.

  • Experience supporting CRM implementations or Salesforce migrations.

  • Industry experience within financial services, capital markets, SaaS, or fintech.

  • Experience mentoring junior analysts or administrators.

Salary Range: $85K/year - $90K/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
