Job Description:
Alcon is seeking a skilled Salesforce Application Support Developer to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a Salesforce Administration certification.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with senior developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Make simple configuration changes within the Salesforce platform as needed.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the Salesforce environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications.
- Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure comprehensive solutions.
- Uphold code quality standards and Salesforce best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address user needs and system requirements.
- Assist in the deployment of new features and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Monitor system performance and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Salesforce Administration and Salesforce Platform Application certifications.
- 1-3 years of experience in Salesforce administration or Salesforce application support.
- Strong expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce integration.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, and related applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with data management and reporting within Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Experience working on debugging Apex Code and lightning component.
Preferred:
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, or other Salesforce products.
- Experience working with ServiceNow tool.
- Knowledge of Salesforce integration tools and techniques.
- Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder).
