DESCRIPTION
The inside sales representative is responsible for developing new leads and building a sales pipeline by starting sales conversations with healthcare executives, providers, and potential customers. They leverage social selling, telephone, email, and cold calling to gather information and qualify customers; understand the customer’s needs; articulate the company’s unique value proposition to meet that need; and initiate and facilitate a smooth sales process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Utilize a consultative approach to develop rapport with potential hospital customers and conduct discovery conversations to qualify
potential clients.
· Primary responsibility includes placing outbound calls to targeted hospital prospects for hospital medicine and emergency medicine services.
· Assist in developing and effectively using email, social media, referral requests, and other tools for prospecting new customers.
· Build rapport with gatekeepers, influencers, and decision-makers and develop relationships at all appropriate levels within the target organization.
· Utilize negotiation and influencing skills to gain buy-in, handle objections, and move opportunities to a discovery call, face-to-face meeting, or the next sales step.
· Capture data in the CRM and database tools and communicate all sales leads to the appropriate sales and marketing executives.
· Manage time and resources effectively to meet or exceed lead generation quantities and qualities.
· Through training and self-study, develop acumen surrounding the healthcare industry, ICH services, and competitive solutions.
· Function as a team member within business development, operations, recruiting, finance, and all other management areas of the company.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· BS or BA in a related field.
· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) including excellent listening skills.
· Contains a successful sales mindset: optimistic, enthusiastic, competitive, confident, relentless, systematic, and efficient.
· Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as HubSpot or Salesforce.com.
· Previous experience in an outbound call center, related sales or recruiting position preferred.
