The Opportunity

The Sales Support Consultant plays a central role in shaping how Catalina goes to market. They lead the creation of diverse campaign designs, ensuring alignment with client objectives and budgets. This role involves developing accurate estimates and comprehensive proposals based on in-depth data analysis, while identifying target audiences and trends.

The consultant will collaborate closely with internal partners to design and optimize campaigns, build trusted relationships with sales teams and clients, and ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction. Effective communication, troubleshooting, and critical thinking under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation of campaign designs for clients and customers of varying sizes, budgets, digital fluency, and strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives and timelines.
  • Create accurate estimates using multiple systems, setting targets, determining channels, and ensuring adherence to client budgets and timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive proposals based on data-driven insights, aligned with client needs and business goals.
  • Recommend Catalina products and solutions that best fit client KPIs, optimize results, and meet internal guardrails.
  • Extract and analyze data from proprietary systems to identify trends and provide actionable campaign recommendations based on client objectives.
  • Generate and interpret detailed insights reports to support prospecting, answer client questions, and create new business opportunities.
  • Identify target audiences by analyzing transactional, shopper, and retailer data, uncovering brand and category trends to inform campaign strategies.
  • Consult and strategize with internal partners to optimize campaign designs for cost efficiency and achievement of client KPIs.
  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with Sales team members on assigned accounts, using critical thinking to support estimates and insights.
  • Manage timelines and prioritize tasks to ensure work progresses according to plan and deadlines are met.
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues in pre-production and live campaigns, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
  • Use collaboration tools effectively to maintain clear, consistent communication with Sales, Media Services, and Analytics teams, ensuring campaign details are accurately communicated and coordinated.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in digital marketing, customer success, brand insights, promotions, advertising, campaign management, data analysis, or a related field.
  • One to three years of Catalina experience in Delivery, Analytics, or Customer Success for internal candidates.
  • Proven track record of creating and managing marketing campaigns for clients of varying sizes and industries.
  • Experience developing accurate estimates and comprehensive proposals based on data analysis.
  • Ability to work across multiple systems to create and manage targeting files for insights, estimation, execution, and measurement.
  • Strong analytical ability to extract and analyze data from proprietary systems, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience identifying target audiences and uncovering brand or category trends from transactional and shopper data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to generate detailed insights reports, answer client questions, and create new business opportunities.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with Sales team members and internal partners.
  • Experience acting as a liaison to finalize campaign details, gather and share program information, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Skills Required
