Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Build relationships with potential customers
  • Have conversations with a variety of people to explain various offers
  • Provide information about the products and the gap that these products will close 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company's various products and services
  • Initiate sales with potential customers over the phone / Persuade customers to accept/purchase the offer 
  • Handle questions, objections or complaints in a professional manner 
  • Gather and document customer information, payment methods, purchases, and reactions to products
  • Walk customers through certain processes 
  • Accurately record information about the call 
  • Meet/exceed set targets 

Qualifications

What you bring 

  • At least 6 months of experience in sales (preferably in an insurance environment)
  • Enthusiasm and energy 
  • Passion for helping people
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas 
  • Amazing objection handling and persuasion skills 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer programs and telephone systems

The Legal Stuff 

  • There is a base salary of up to R8 000 in place as well as a competitive commission structure. 
  • This is an office-based role where you will be expected to work Monday to Friday in our office in Cape Town Central.
