The Level 3 Sales Representative will use their sales experience and horticultural knowledge to offer new ideas and strategic recommendations to our team of 6-8 Sales professionals.  You will close sales, schedule deliveries and provide an overall excellent customer service experience to our wholesale customers as you provide direction and act as a resource to our less experienced team members.  Collaboration with our buying and retail partners to develop new product lines offers an additional dimension to this position and is ideal for an innovative, energetic, knowledgeable horticultural expert.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Focus on building and developing strong relationships with both new and existing customers,  emphasizing our commitment to a quality customer service experience.
  • Mentor and act as a knowledgeable resource for less experienced members of the sales team.
  • Independently communicate effectively with customer base through all phases of the sales process, ensuring that no details are overlooked.
  • Meet sales goals as assigned by manager.
  • Provide timely and accurate quotes for customers.
  • Communicate with team members and all stakeholders, including managers and buyers regarding customer questions, concerns and needs.  Offer suggestions for new product lines.
  • Generate new business from existing customers and develop additional customer base.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Execute the duties of the position in alignment with the Company Mission and Conduct Policies.
  • Use technology as required by the position.
  • Complete required annual trainings as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years previous horticulture sales and/or Degree in Horticulture or related field.
  • Licensed and certified in Horticulture, Nursery or Landscape.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Industrywide knowledge of our competition pricing and retail pricing.
  • Proficient in sales reports and analytics-based decision making.
  • Stellar customer service and communication skills including problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in managing all aspects of the order process including entry into our sales system, movement of order from placement to pick up or delivery and excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues about order status and management.
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Proficient in computer programs and sales software.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Able to work with retail partners to move products based on sales and inventory data.
