Sales Operations Specialist 

  

Our sales team drives the strategic development and execution of direct-to-consumer initiatives that connect our passionate community with the Cloud Imperium Games brand. This role will work directly with the Sales Director and collaborate closely with our marketing and platform teams to implement comprehensive digital and physical sales strategies across all our international offices. 

  

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We're currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What does a Sales Operations Specialist do?
  • Directly support the Sales Director with implementing digital and physical merchandise strategies aligned with the CIG Marketing roadmap to enhance brand awareness and drive sales

  • Review customer-facing copy on promotional websites and marketing emails to ensure it comprehensively covers all product offerings (both digital and physical) 

  • Provide input and feedback on marketing campaigns to ensure sales objectives are met for both digital and physical product offerings 

  • Coordinate with CIG teams and third-party vendors under the Sales Director's guidance to facilitate the creation and launch of products and merchandise that adheres to brand guidelines 

  • Manage the operational facets related to third-party manufactured products, including apparel, toys, and collectibles, and monitor content quality to ensure compliance with brand guidelines, maintaining accuracy in vision, product selection, and approvals 

  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with vendors to achieve shared goals for direct-to-consumer products 

  • Manage regional warehouse communications, inventory logistics, and fulfillment processes 

  • Help manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment while keeping the Sales Director informed of delivery timelines and product integrity 

  • Provide administrative support to the Sales team as directed by the Sales Director 

 

What do we expect from Sales Support? 
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and vendor relationships concurrently 

  • Strong attention to detail with experience in quality control and brand compliance across digital and physical products 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor coordination, copy review, and e-commerce management 

  • Outstanding organization skills with ability to track timelines, deliverables, and both digital and physical product management 

  • A positive & proactive attitude with a mindset for process improvement and efficiency 

  • Able to demonstrate ownership of projects, be an active participant and be a self-sufficient problem solver 

  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where flexibility and teamwork are vital 

  • Comfortable working across multiple time zones to coordinate with international teams and vendors 

 

Preferred Experiences 
  • Previous experience in sales support, direct-to-consumer sales, or e-commerce operations 

  • Familiarity with both digital and physical product management and vendor relationships 

  • Experience with inventory management, warehouse coordination, and digital product fulfillment 

  • Background in brand management or marketing compliance across multiple product types 

  • Experience working with product development and launches for both digital and physical offerings 

  • Knowledge of direct-to-consumer retail operations and e-commerce platforms
