The Sales Manager directs the Core Sales account efforts focusing on maximizing market penetration and profitability. The incumbent will motivate team to achieve forecasted market shares and gross profit goals by providing the appropriate customer solutions and consistent account management of both new and existing customers.
Salary: 120K + commission
Essential Functions:
- Hires, trains, develops, and provides ongoing performance management of direct reports.
- Strategizes with direct reports so they can perform successful cold calling to secure new business and maintain accounts.
- Develops written communication for the execution of sales contracts and provides vendor and internal reports.
- Conducts customer sales calls and presentations.
- Provides internal conflict resolution for customer relations.
- Utilizes Raymond CRM to manage and monitor the sales pipeline, lost order reports, leads, and tasks.
- Monitors and manages direct report to drive achievement of annual sales department goals and strategies.
- Assimilates account information from a variety of sources into complete and successful strategies.
- Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Required Qualifications:
- College degree, and minimum of three years of experience in industrial durable goods distribution.
- Minimum of five years of proven successful selling record.
- Local travel daily and occasional overnight travel primarily for training.
- Must have solid team building capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership and decision-makers.
- Proven success influencing and persuading others, with resilience and persistence throughout the sales or decision-making process until closure.
- Track record of building strong customer relationships through empathy, creativity, and adaptability to customer needs.
- Self-directed professional with a history of high motivation, confidence, and initiative in achieving results.
- Demonstrated experience motivating others and providing leadership in team or customer-facing environments.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
