Summary: Responsible for managing the selling, planning, detailing, and executing events for all clientele to maximize profits.  Ensure that clients are receiving the best customer service, and that event standards align with company and industry standards by performing the following duties:


Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to the following.     

  1. Always provide the highest quality of service to the client by providing quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the team and developing professional, long-term business relationships.
  2. Be an example of professionalism by your communication and detail orientation. Provide consistent and positive feedback to all team members by sharing knowledge learned to ensure everyone is meeting and following company standards. Share any concerns, suggestions, or recognitions with your Director of Sales. Help to update training material as information becomes outdated.
  3. Stay up to date with email and weekly required duties as outlined by your direct supervisor. Assess day-to-day situations, make timely adjustments as needed, communicate changes as it affects other departments and team members.
  4. Works with sales team, Director of Sales, and Operations to ensure all event details are executed to the highest standards and at the appropriate time and place.  Reports all pertinent information to Director of Sales, Director of Operations or applicable department as required to stay in close communication about any changes that impact the normal calendar of deadline. Being proactive and organized to maintain the critical operating structure outlined by your supervisor.
  5. Communicates all contract, deposit, and floor plan due dates, and required information deadlines to clients at time of initial contract signing. Provides follow-up reminders to keep clients completely informed of progress against deadlines and required information. Provides support to the sales team to ensure that proposals and contracts are accurate to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction.
  6. Work collaboratively with the culinary team to help achieve food and beverage revenues, maintain quality, and give feedback that will help to improve operations.
  7. Responsible for communicating with clients in a timely fashion. Has an organized and efficient system to address on-going communication with both clients and the Operations team to address any and all concerns or recognition.
  8. Contacts customers via telephone, email correspondence or in person as frequently as necessary to obtain all details needed to successfully execute the event.
  9. Builds and maintains quality relationships with existing assigned accounts and increases account base and volume of sales on a consistent basis. Manage the sales process to include floral, bakery and AV departments and capitalize on upselling opportunities
  10. Create and review staff plans and timelines for each event and effectively communicate to all departments to ensure that the events are executed to the ‘exceed the clients’ expectations.
  11. Always represents the company in a professional manner. Complies with company policies and procedures. Treats others with our guiding principles of Integrity and fairness, respect and understanding.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Be at least 21 years of age.

· Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the organization’s trading area.

· Have knowledge of sales, service, food, and beverage, generally involving at least three years of hospitality operations and/or management positions. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Possess excellent basic math skills.

· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

· Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.

· Must have the stamina to work 45 to 55 hours per week.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory software, internet software, order processing systems, and database software are necessary.

· Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

Skills Required

  • Be at least 21 years of age
