The Opportunity

Are you ready to turn your leadership talent into a high-octane career? We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales floor, empower our team, and drive exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you will lead daily showroom sales operations, manage inventory presentation, mentor sales professionals, and conduct customer test rides to deliver the ultimate purchasing journey.

What You’ll Own & Achieve
  • Drive Sales Performance: Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed monthly revenue, unit volume, and profitability goals.
  • Showroom & Inventory Management: Oversee vehicle staging, lot management, and the safe movement and operation of powersports inventory across the showroom and dealership grounds.
  • Deliver Customer Excellence: Partner directly with customers to provide high-touch service, structure finance deals, and conduct dynamic vehicle demonstrations and test rides.
  • Manage Finance & Insurance (F&I) Operations: Present financing options, extended service contracts, credit insurance, and protection products to customers; oversee loan processing, titling, and lender relationships to maximize F&I profitability and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coach & Develop Talent: Recruit, train, and mentor high-performing sales representatives on unit product knowledge, sales processes, and customer follow-up strategies.
  • Maintain Operational Safety: Enforce strict situational awareness and vehicle handling safety standards across active dealership premises, vehicle lots, and showroom traffic.

Preferred QualificationsWhat Brings You to the Team
  • Proven Leadership Experience: 2+ years of successful sales management or finance management experience within powersports, automotive, or marine retail.
  • Essential Function — Valid Driver’s License & Motorcycle Endorsement: Pursuant to WA SSB 5501, maintaining a valid Driver's License (and motorcycle endorsement where applicable) with a clean driving record is a verified essential function of this position. The Sales Manager is directly responsible for test-riding vehicles with clients, operating motorized inventory, moving vehicles across active dealership grounds, and performing quality check test rides.
  • Safety & Situational Awareness: Comfort operating in a dynamic, loud dealership environment with continuous motor vehicle movement, maintaining constant awareness around foot traffic and showroom vehicles.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and closing skills with proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS) and CRM platforms.
  • Finance & Insurance (F&I) Proficiency: Prior experience presenting menu selling options, working with powersports or automotive lenders, and maintaining regulatory compliance in financial contracting preferred.
Compensation & Pay Transparency (WA RCW 49.58)

In compliance with Washington State Pay Transparency laws (RCW 49.58), the total expected target compensation range for this position is disclosed below:

  • Base Salary: $3,000 per month (paid monthly / semi-monthly options available).
  • Draw: Includes a $2,000 draw against commissions payable on the 6th of each month.
  • Variable Commission Pay:
    • 3.5% department contribution earned across New Sales (Dept 10 - 33%), Used Sales (Dept 20 - 33%), and Finance & Insurance (Dept 50 - 34%).
    • Variable commission compensation is calculated and paid on the 21st of the following month.
  • SPIFFs: Eligible for monthly SPIFF programs based on department sales volume and gross profit targets established at the beginning of each month by the General Manager and Regional Operations Director
  • Estimated Annual Total Compensation Range: $60,000 – $110,000+ per year (base pay plus variable commission and bonus earning potential).

Safety-Sensitive Designation & Screening (RCW 49.44.240)

Pre-Designated Safety-Sensitive Position Notice: Pursuant to Washington law (RCW 49.44.240), this role is designated prior to application as a safety-sensitive position. The essential duties of this role require operating, test-riding, and maneuvering high-powered motor vehicles, motorcycles, and powersports equipment in proximity to foot traffic, customers, and employees, where an inattentive or impaired lapse in judgment presents a substantial, quantifiable risk of serious bodily injury, death, or severe property damage.

  • Drug Screening: Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen. Because this position is pre-designated as safety-sensitive under RCW 49.44.240, pre-employment testing includes screening for controlled substances and cannabis/THC metabolites.
  • Motor Vehicle Records (MVR): Employment is contingent upon an acceptable MVR check and ongoing compliance with company driver safety standards.
Physical Demands & Workplace Environment
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to frequently move, push, align, and balance motorcycles, ATVs, and side-by-sides weighing up to 800+ lbs with appropriate technique or assistance.
  • Mobility & Posture: Constantly standing, walking across dealership grounds and showroom floors, crouching, bending, reaching, and operating motor vehicle controls.
  • Environmental Exposure: Work is performed both indoors on active showroom floors and outdoors in varied weather conditions across outdoor staging and inventory lots with exposure to engine noise, exhaust fumes, and moving vehicles.
