As we continue to embark on our international expansion, we are looking for a talented sales leader to grow and develop our Mid-Market Sales business.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the Mid-Market Sales org supporting our brand partnerships in the Nordics where we are still in the early stages of building our presence. The leader we’re looking for has deep market knowledge from years of navigating the digital marketing ecosystem, has successfully built and delivered on a Scaled book of business, and can effectively coach, support, and motivate teams of sellers to succeed within ambiguity. You would be a key pillar to Reddit’s business strategy as we forge world-class partnerships with regional brands. We are looking for a leader who will champion our culture and values for the team.
For this role you will be working out of a continental hub based in Amsterdam and as such this role is required to work from our Amsterdam office a few days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Define the playbook: Set the sales strategy and tactics for your markets, implementing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth from Mid-Market clients in the Nordics & emerging markets
- Build a strong sales culture, leading your team to exceed established revenue targets and role model Challenger sales and sales rigor
- Leverage your industry knowledge and relationships with key decision-makers to support your team’s sales efforts
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and ensure the team is delivering the highest impact
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing to provide feedback and insights, drive product enhancements and new product launches, and align on market positioning
- Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to develop financial and operating targets, ensuring alignment with strategic plan
- Represent Reddit in the Nordics by speaking at key industry events
- Lead on broader EMEA mid market projects to identify opportunities for further acceleration and jointly build scalable processes
Desired Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in digital media sales, demonstrated success in building a scaled book of business and overachieving sales targets. Leads by example, defining the playbook by which their team will operate.
- Experience as a people manager leading sales teams, balancing retention with attracting new talent. Passionate and inclusive people manager who is dedicated to fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Key understanding of the Nordics sales channel (understanding of emerging markets like Isreal & Turkey would be a plus)
- Has a customer-centric approach, a strong sales mentality, and commercial acumen
- Strong sales rigor & pipeline management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply those insights to overcome or anticipate headwinds and ensure the team is working on top-priority opportunities.
- Experience building high-performing teams, Can inspire and motivate relentless optimism
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships that will further the success of the org and its clients
