Sales & Lending Training Specialist

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT
This position will support Sales & Lending responsibilities. This position will also be responsible for keeping training materials up to date, coordinating both pre- and post-training activities in VyStar Learning Centers, and creating and implementing blended training efforts.
In this role you must be self-driven and have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders. A strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, influencing skills, and planning/project management skills are critical for this role. This individual must thrive in a fast paced, rigorous environment with changing priorities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, develops, and delivers informal and formal learning solutions to meet VyStar Sales & Lending needs
  • Consult with departments to identify organizational goals and strategically link them to learning interventions
  • Analyzes and selects the most appropriate strategy, methodologies, and technologies to maximize the learning experience and impact
  • Delivers learning solutions using participant centered learning that engages the learner and produces desired behavioral and knowledge changes
  • Designs and delivers interactive, application-based virtual training.
  • Designs and applies assessment tools to measure training effectiveness. 
  • Reviews evaluations and makes changes accordingly.
  • Facilitates adult principles of learning.
  • Coordinates and schedules training classes.
  • Conducts a detailed analysis of a project, collaborates with the Instructional Designers on the design and development, and then delivers and evaluates the training programs.
  • Keeps abreast of regulatory, policy, procedure and process changes and successfully reflects those changes in all training related materials and communication.
  • Supports Lending management’s strategic initiatives, including organization design, performance management, organization, and team effectiveness.
  • Keeps abreast of newest training methods and incorporates the methods that best meet the needs
  • Coordinates programs and training schedules and pulls analytics for records of participation.
  • Understands and follows the ADDIE model.
  • Applies at minimum level 3 of Kirkpatrick.
  • Coordinates and schedules consultants for external courses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The Risk team serves as the second line of defense by providing risk oversight and credible challenge whereas the Audit team serves as the third line of defense by providing risk assurance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

A bachelor’s degree in a business curriculum or related field or work experience may be substituted for college at a two to one ratio.

EXPERIENCE

5-7 years total experience in the design and/or delivery of training programs for adult learners or equivalent in prior work experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong project management skills and meets all deliverables outlined.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking. 
  • Strong and effective public speaking, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to gain and retain the attention and involvement of sophisticated and challenging audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in facilitating both in-person instructor-led training and virtual instructor-led training.
  • Strong ability to organize, manage frequent interruptions in work, facilitate events and work a flexible schedule is required, which might include overnight travel.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e., Word, Power Point, and Excel), and e-learning authoring software (i.e., Storyline, Camtasia), Virtual design and delivery.
  • Ability to work well with others and at various organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of and skill in Adult Learning practices and design (ADDIE, AGILE, Kirkpatrick Evaluation, Phillips ROI).
  • Must be driven to learn and stay current professionally

CERTIFICATIONS

CPLP, APTD, CPTD, Instructional Design preferred
