Job Summary & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Lightera is seeking a Salesforce Solutions Architect to lead our global sales automation practice. This is a unique opportunity for a results-driven professional to design and implement capabilities that will have a significant global impact.


The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex organizational challenges. They understand the needs, pain points, and opportunities within a global sales organization and know how to address them through the Salesforce ecosystem. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the sales team, leading discovery, defining solutions, and applying best practices to ensure successful implementations. You will shape the architecture, develop business cases, and guide the execution of our sales automation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Global IT Salesforce team, defining strategic direction and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Architect and design robust Salesforce solutions that support global sales and marketing teams and align with industry best practices.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to gather and interpret business requirements, translating them into scalable, effective technical solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership, technical expertise, and guidance on Salesforce best practices across the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions, provide level-of-effort estimates, and develop business cases outlining benefits, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Serve as the global technical lead and subject matter expert for Salesforce programs, owning solution direction and delivery outcomes.
  • Translate business needs into well-architected Salesforce solutions that maximize platform capabilities.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Experiment with, pilot, and scale new Salesforce and partner technologies.
  • Coach and develop junior technical and functional staff.
  • Maintain and expand professional knowledge of Salesforce and related technologies through continuous learning.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce Mobile SDK.
  • Experience with Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud or Field Service Lightning.
  • Active Salesforce Developer or Architect certification.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills, with the ability to guide stakeholders toward solutions aligned with business and program goals.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to pivot quickly as priorities shift and to design solutions in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to operate effectively in unstructured situations and build consensus around Salesforce-based solutions. Strong facilitation skills are essential.

Critical Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Salesforce architecture, development, and leadership roles.
  • Salesforce certifications: Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred. Additional certifications such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect are a plus.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Lightning Experience.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and integration tools such as MuleSoft or Informatica.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, and performance optimization.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex Salesforce programs.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
