In the automotive OEM sector, we are the approved supplier to top German car markets such as Mercedes Benz and BMW. Meanwhile, Sika leads the field in total bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection solutions for bus, truck and rail vehicle manufacturing, and for the assembly of appliances, industrial equipment and building components.

Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 340 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Head of Sales/Area Manager, be responsible for creation & maintenance of sufficient quantity & quality of customer contacts & relationships within their designated geographical region
  • Achieve the annual budgeted sales turnover and profitability for the region
  • Development of new business within the region customer base with the support of the Target Market Managers (TMMs) & Technical Service Team.
  • The implementation of regional sales and marketing objectives for the customer groups, jointly with the TMMs and the Head of Sales/Area Manager.
  • Provision of necessary regional customer, product & market information as directed by the TMMs and the Head of Sales/Area Manager to enable the necessary regional support requirements to be realised.
  • Management and development regional customer relationship of designated global & regional key account customers, coordinated with the Key Account Manager (KAM) & Key Project Manager (KPM).
  • Effectively respond to regional market conditions & customer requirements.
  • Work effectively together with other team members to ensure maintenance and development of customer relationships which cross geographical boundaries.
  • Record daily activities in a timely fashion within the company Salesforce database.
  • Provide the necessary sales and market input together with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) / Branch Manager (BM) for the Annual Budget and the various corporate questionnaires submitted to Sika AP / Corporate;
  • Determine & implement regional/branch sales planning objectives together with the RSM/BM;
  • Communicate product requirements (MIN/MAX forecasts) to the RSM/BM and TMM to ensure the timely availability of product; and
  • Assist & execute market studies under the direction of the HoS / Marketing Manager
  • Work with the TMMs and the Head of Sales/Area Manager to achieve their specific customer group or target market sales objectives in relation to their budgets.
  • Prepare with the TMMs and implement an appropriate sales plan.
  • Timely collection of all overdue monies from customer accounts.

Qualifications

  • Preferably Diploma in any discipline or relevant experience
  • Degree in any discipline, preferably Civil Engineering;
  • Fresh Graduate
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar industry will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint presentation and Excel spreadsheet applications;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Able to travel when required;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia and / or Mandarin; and Strong inter-personal, leadership and management skills.
