Scope of the Role:

DistillerSR Inc. is seeking experienced, client-facing, and results-oriented individuals to join the Sales team in the implementation of web-based applications for private and public sector organizations. In this dynamic role, the Sales Engineer (Solution Consultant) serves as the technical lead (and consultant) for the DistillerSR solution during customer facing sales engagements. The ideal candidate excels in business analysis, technical expertise, sales acumen, and strong communication skills. As a Sales Engineer (Solution Consultant), you will participate in the full lifecycle of a Sales engagement - from discovery calls, tailored product demonstrations, and guiding prospects through solution design, to ensuring the execution of a mutual action plan for all client engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Executives (AEs) to drive the sales process, providing technical and product expertise.
  • Participate in discovery calls with prospects and customers to understand business challenges, requirements, and goals.
  • Deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations that showcase the platform’s capabilities and align with customer needs.
  • Serve as the technical lead in the sales cycle, addressing client concerns, providing solutions, positioning value, and overcoming objections.
  • Ensure that all technical and business requirements are addressed in sales proposals.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of the platform in both written and verbal formats.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure clear communication of needs and feedback.
  • Train Account Executives and sales teams on technical aspects of the product to improve their ability to position and sell the solution.
  • Educate customers and prospects on platform features, integrations, and best practices.
  • Ensuring the proper application of a Mutual Action Plan when working more complex Enterprise engagements. 
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Solution Engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to onboarding.
  • Ability to travel internationally, up to 15% of the time

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications (Education and Experience)

  • Background in Library Sciences of Healthcare research
  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a sales engineer, or a combination of experiences in consulting, engineering, and Library Sciences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent client relationship skills, ability to manage client expectations, and reputation for providing excellent customer experiences. A “client-first” approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with customers and become a trusted advisor
  • Demonstrates professionalism in a customer-facing role
  • Demonstrates product and domain expertise; applies sound judgment, critical thinking, and makes good recommendations and decisions
  • Strong proficiency in computer systems with advanced knowledge of the Windows environment, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated track record of ongoing learning and commitment to professional development
Compensation

Salary range: $86,000 - $107,000
