Role Overview

ID5 is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our growing team within the Global Services organization. This role will focus on pre-sales project and integration planning with partners—both prospects and existing clients. A key aspect of the position involves working collaboratively with our Commercial/Sales, Solutions Consulting, and Product teams to understand partners' businesses and technology stacks, aligning their needs with our world-class solutions. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity to help shape and evolve our sales engineering culture and processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders (from frontline teams to executives) to establish clarity around the “how” and “when” of ID5’s partnerships with clients/partners.
  • Set partnerships up for success by aligning on technical solutions, integration mechanics, and by creating architecture diagrams and other relevant documents (e.g., timelines, testing plans). Identify and address any potential gaps between needs and solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the ID5 solution suite and provide field insights to the Product team.
  • Lead technical walkthroughs of our solutions and conduct discovery sessions during Sales and RFP stages to assess client needs.
  • Help refine and evolve existing Sales Engineering processes and contribute to the improvement of related processes across other ID5 teams.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Consulting and Product teams to ensure seamless delivery of complex solutions or product evolutions, providing a smooth client experience.
  • Host webinars for prospects and customers on key differentiating topics.
  • Lead and support the completion of RFIs, security questionnaires, and the creation of partnership-specific materials (e.g., sales presentations, one-pagers).
  • Assist Product Marketing in building competitive analyses and informing product collateral.
  • Stay informed on product developments, competitors, industry trends, and emerging technologies to maintain industry expertise.


Key Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in systems integration, technology consulting, pre-sales/solutions engineering within the ad ecosystem, programmatic media buying, publishers, agencies, or advertisers. Experience in web architecture and infrastructure environments is particularly valuable.
  • Project management experience.
  • A passion for continuous learning and providing exceptional service to colleagues and partners. As a small company, collaboration and a team-first mindset are crucial to achieving our ambitious goals.
  • Strong technical depth with the ability to quickly grasp the architecture, functionality, and integration capabilities of our technology.
  • Familiarity with web infrastructure and technologies (e.g., client vs. server roles, RESTful APIs).
  • Excellent organizational skills and a systems-thinking approach to manage multiple concurrent deals, technical details of integrations, and strategic priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to act with urgency as needed and build lasting relationships with key partner stakeholders.
  • A degree in a technical or analytical field is preferred.
