The Role

ForeFlight is seeking a skilled and dynamic Sales Engineer to join our team. The role primarily involves being customer-facing and working closely with clients to understand their needs, provide support, and offer innovative solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our most essential clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and goals. Engage in discussions to comprehend technical requirements and propose tailored solution
  • Utilize comprehensive product knowledge to effectively demonstrate our solutions to clients. Provide technical guidance, support, and conduct product presentations, helping clients understand the features and benefits that meet their specific need
  • Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to design and develop custom solutions that align with client requirements. Create proposals and specifications to address client needs, ensuring the proposed solutions are both technically feasible and financially viable
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Continuously follow up, address concerns, and maintain regular communication to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, providing valuable insights and feedback from clients regarding product improvement and development opportunities
  • Assist the sales team in complex sales cycles by providing technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, and addressing technical concerns to close deals effectively
  • Develops program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions
  • Provides technical information, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work
  • Creates and maintains documentation to provide customers with a reliable technical resource for product operation and maintenance


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in sales engineering, technical consulting, or a similar capacity
  • Strong technical background and understanding of our product offerings
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to comprehend and translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field preferred
  • Professional experience in the business aviation industry is strongly preferred
