Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Engineer (m/f/d) to support commercial growth within our sales team. In this role, you will support the management of defined customer opportunities while developing your commercial expertise and customer relationships.
You will work closely with the Sales Manager and internal stakeholders, focusing on a defined customer portfolio and a number of well-defined sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a positive can-do attitude, and wants to build a career in technical sales within the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support a defined portfolio of customers and routine sales opportunities under guidance
  • Assist with customer communication, follow-ups, and account development activities
  • Support the preparation of quotations, proposals, and sales presentations
  • Maintain accurate customer information, quotation logs, and CRM records
  • Develop an understanding of customer requirements, products, and solutions
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, Service, and other internal teams to support customer opportunities
  • Participate in customer meetings and visits together with experienced sales colleagues
  • Support pipeline development and follow-up on open sales opportunities
  • Develop commercial, product, and negotiation skills with the support of the Sales Manager

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or a related field; equivalent education or experience is also considered
  • Interest in developing a career in sales and customer-facing activities
  • Good communication and active listening skills
  • Basic understanding of technical products and customer needs
  • Positive, proactive, and willing to learn
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with customers, colleagues, and supporting functions
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; CRM experience is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in the maritime industry with shipowners, shipyards, marine equipment suppliers, or related technical sectors is a distinct advantage, though not essential
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally for customer meetings and industry events
