🏢  Ultimation Industries, an MCE Company    |  Reports to: Sales Manager

Are you a technically driven sales professional who can walk into an automotive plant or industrial facility, understand the application, and develop a conveyor automation solution that wins the business?

As a Sales Engineer at Ultimation Industries, you will lead business development and sales for Daifuku/Jervis Webb overhead conveyor and chain conveyor systems — identifying opportunities, building relationships with automotive OEMs and industrial manufacturers, developing proposals, and driving opportunities from first contact to purchase order. You will work closely with engineering to develop technically sound, commercially competitive solutions for power and free conveyors, enclosed track, monorail, and chain systems across automotive assembly, paint shop, battery manufacturing, warehousing, and industrial automation applications.

If you have 5 or more years of industrial sales experience, a strong conveyor or material handling technical background, and the commercial discipline to manage a pipeline and close profitable business, this is a high-impact role with real upside.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary plus commission. We take care of our team with a full benefits package:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Company-paid life, AD&D, and short- and long-term disability insurance.
  • 401(k) with a generous company match.
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays.
  • Tuition reimbursement — we invest in your development.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Voluntary benefit products.
What You'll Do

Business Development and Sales

  • Identify new opportunities for overhead conveyor systems — power and free conveyors, enclosed track, monorail, and chain conveyor systems — across automotive, industrial manufacturing, warehousing, and material handling markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, system integrators, and industrial manufacturers.
  • Develop and execute sales plans for Daifuku/Jervis Webb product applications across your target accounts.
  • Lead customer meetings, site visits, and technical and commercial discussions throughout the sales cycle.

Quoting, Proposals and Pipeline

  • Review customer requirements, RFQs, specifications, layouts, and commercial terms to determine scope and feasibility.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to develop concepts, proposals, and scope documents for technically complex applications.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate scope and pricing, and drive opportunities from inquiry to purchase order.
  • Maintain pipeline forecasts and CRM discipline in HubSpot — tracking accounts, opportunities, and forecast accuracy.

Market Development and Account Support

  • Target automotive assembly, paint shop, battery manufacturing, warehousing, and industrial automation applications for new account development.
  • Participate in customer presentations, trade shows, and industry events to build brand presence and pipeline.
  • Monitor competitor activity, customer needs, and market trends to inform strategy and positioning.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact during the sales cycle; coordinate a structured handoff to project management and engineering after order receipt.
  • Promote aftermarket opportunities including spare parts, upgrades, and service support within existing accounts.
QualificationsWhat We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of industrial sales experience in conveyor systems, material handling equipment, industrial automation, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to read layouts, drawings, specifications, and technical scope documents accurately.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills — comfortable leading technical and commercial discussions at all levels.
  • Commercial discipline — pipeline management, CRM usage, forecast accuracy, and quote-to-close follow-through.
  • Willingness to travel 25% to 50% depending on customer and project needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or equivalent industry experience.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience with Daifuku/Jervis Webb, Power and Free, enclosed track, monorail, or chain conveyor systems.
  • Experience selling to automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial manufacturing customers.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
