We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Leader to drive revenue growth in the United States East Coast region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the SaaS industry, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. As a GM of your territory, you are an amazing people leader who inspires, coaches, and leads from the front. Based on the team location and travel expectations, the ideal candidate must resign in the Unites States East Coast region. 

The Sales Director is responsible for leading and inspiring a team of both Enterprise and Mid-Market Account Executives to achieve revenue growth. They support the team to generate new opportunities, build long-term relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams through strategic planning, coaching, and training. This role requires 30% travel to on-site meetings, conferences, and Company off-site gatherings. 

As a Sales Director, you will be individually accountable to:

  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to meet and exceed targets.
  • Work with the team to develop a robust sales pipeline, manage the lead generation process, and ensure that opportunities are tracked and managed effectively. 
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development opportunities for team members to build a high-performing team.
  • Proactively manage underperformance, identifying the cause of the problem and engaging POPs early. 
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the assigned region. Be a thought leader and an advocate for your region within Go1, but always be a team player.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop innovative sales strategies to capitalize on market trends, customer needs and beating the competition every time!
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, Partner ADs and customer success, to ensure alignment and maximize opportunities for success.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the Executive Management Team on sales performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives. 
  • Seek and give feedback to build a high-performing sales culture that is truly world-class.

We are excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales leadership roles within the SaaS industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and coach a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Demonstrated prospecting experience: new logo and install base revenue.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Deep understanding of the regional market landscape, including market trends, competitive dynamics, partners and regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Forecast accuracy with a track record of always being within 5% of your forecast.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
