Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office at minimum three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business and two times per week remote.
Your Role:
This position is a Sales leadership role, expected to drive positive change, identify growth opportunities, address strategic risks, develop innovative solutions, put short and long term plans to optimize sales, market share and profitability performance and set the region for sustainable success across the 9 different markets in the Middle East.
Key responsibilities include: management of the sales team (Sales, Fleet and Accessories) and Dealer network to align, achieve and contribute to GM |Middle East's organizational objectives primarily in respect to achievement of sales and wholesale objectives, risk management, achievement of EBIT and customer satisfaction / Dealer relationships / MEO strategic objectives.
The role also will
As a Leader within the MEO team, the incumbent will at all times act to protect and enhance GM MEO's and its brand's reputation and assets. The incumbent is to monitor organizational performance, undertake fiduciary duties, and comply with all applicable GM policies and guidelines, as well as India and international laws
At all times, this position must exercise expert judgment when handling customer complaints, legal issues, governmental issues, media/press questions, and dealer investor decisions. This position may deal with FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Processes Act) cases, with integrity issues, and potentially with BCP and disaster recovery / emergency cases. Inaccurate or inappropriate statements can cause serious and prolonged loss of business to GM.
What You'll Do:
Business Planning, Strategy and transformation:
- Business Planning for strategic Growth, working with MEO teams to align with the LTP vision for MEO volume aspirations for both ICE and EV entries in both short term and long term forecasts.
- Vital role in developing and preparing Plans; for growth and transformation plans for senior leadership final approval.
- Develop effective business strategies and plans with respect to Dealer / sales objectives for the MEO organization and align it to the global direction.
- Set department priorities and objectives to achieve alignment across functions
- Continuously improve business processes to support an enhanced customer experience.
- Ensure that there is ongoing benchmarking taking place to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Work with the appropriate functions to improve the quality and performance of GM's products
- Ensure that the organization gathers adequate dealer operating and financial data, and use the information to drive effective programs, strategies, and targets
New Vehicle Sales:
- Responsible to achieve new vehicle sales targets for both deliveries and production
- Working with eht Sales operations team to develop forecasts (sales and production)
- Management of Fleet operations
- Develop and execute plans for both growth and risk mitigation to align with MEO strategic objectives (sales / share / EBIT)
Sales Allowance
- Responsibility for the management and development of all tactical and sales allowance budget
- Lead strategies for MEO approvals on a short term (Qtrly) and long term basis
Fleet / Government Relations
- Oversee and manage the MEO fleet team setting and achieving objectives across strategic fleet tenders, Government Fleet, Mobility fleet and Dealer fleet sales
Accessory strategy
- Oversee the Accessory strategy development, objectives, targets and achievement
Dealer Relationship Management / Dealer Relations
- Regular interface with Dealer Leadership through both formal (i.e. Franchise Board) and informal interactions.
- Critical to understand Dealer priorities and alignment with GM Objectives and be the source of expertise within GM for MEO decision making forums
- Establish trust and open channel communication with dealers and distributors.
- Improve dealer processes and dealer profitability, while also growing penetration.
- Engage, communicate, and listen to dealers and distributors to ensure that their concerns are objectively assessed and the appropriate action taken.
People Leadership
- Develop effective people strategies to drive a high performance culture and ensure development, engagement, and retention plans are in place.
- Drive continuous improvements at workplace environment; motivate existing talent and attract top external talent (Workplace of Choice)

Experience:
- Bachelors degree. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in aspects of auto sales / service / marketing. Must include experience with dealers, government agencies and media.
- At least 5 years' management experience at a senior level
- Must have experience in emerging markets or high growth businesses
- Must have ability to set longer term strategy / vision for dealers while achieving monthly operating results
- Must have ability in business management and experience with dealer financial operating reports
- Have managed an organization of at least 30 salaried employees
- A working knowledge of financial management and HR principles including
- Proven leadership experience
