The Opportunity: 

The Sales Development Representative role is a key position on our sales team. You will function as the first point of contact for many of our new customers, setting the foundation for a great relationship with Gloo as an organization. You will learn about Gloo’s products and take that information to prospective customers. This role is the lynchpin between marketing and sales as you take leads, qualify them, and turn them into high quality opportunities for our sales team. 

You are a self starter who has a high degree of personal responsibility. You enjoy the challenge of connecting organization’s challenges with potential solutions and helping them see value in innovative technology. You are an engaged, enthusiastic communicator who can move future customers through the early stages of intrigue all while building great rapport.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prequalifying and screening identified leads to ensure that they are indeed future customers
  • Creatively navigating complex organizational structure to find ideal target contacts
  • Make outbound calls to prospect potential customers, introducing them to our product/services.
  • Set up product demos for Sales Reps (AEs)
  • Follow up with leads through phone, email, and other communication tools
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system (Hubspot)
  • Achieve or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly targets for calls and demos
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate value to potential customers (AI)
  • Engaging in training both 1:1 and with peers. You know that you don’t know everything and want to sharpen your skills.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Understanding of SaaS and/or relevant industry knowledge; understanding of the church/faith community not required but a plus
  • Consistent performance that meets or exceeds sales goals
  • You genuinely like people – making connections, solving problems, listening and helping them achieve their objectives – it’s just the way you are wired!
  • A mature, independent and resourceful mind – keen problem solving ability and an internally competitive spirit – you only care about beating your last personal best and recognize that we win and lose as a team
  • Follow up and follow through – you return ALL calls, respond promptly to email requests and make yourself available to your team and customers
  • Organized, diligent and wildly productive working from your home office
  • You “own” your work and the results. You are a self-starter. You are an independent worker
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time (translates to 1-2 days every 1-2 months)

Compensation: $45-65k on target earnings, no cap on bonus potential
