Your mission

As an SDR (Sales Development Representative) at Runn, your mission is to drive the early stages of our sales process by actively engaging and building rapport with potential clients. A crucial aspect of your role will be making first contact and carefully qualifying leads to cultivate a high-quality pipeline of prospects. You’ll play a pivotal role in linking Runn’s cutting-edge solutions with organizations eager for smarter, more efficient ways of managing their resources.

  • Competitive total rewards & perks: Compensation will be based on your experience level, either CAD$60k base/$80k OTE) or $65k base/ $90k OTE). Your role & objectives 🛠

As an essential member of the Runn sales team, you will:

  • Qualify prospects: Assess inbound leads to ensure they meet our target market criteria and align with our ideal customer profile.
  • Generate leads and engage prospects: Identify and reach out to potential customers using creative outreach strategies across emails, calls, and social media to drive interest and create opportunities for sales conversations.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams: Work closely with Marketing to integrate activities with campaigns and with Account Executives to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads, providing detailed context and background to support effective follow-up and sales success.
  • Manage the pipeline: Maintain active engagement with potential leads through follow-up communications to advance them through the sales funnel.
  • Optimize and refine strategies: Gather insights from prospect interactions to refine marketing strategies and product offerings, and monitor lead conversion rates to improve performance

  • You’re based in Toronto
  • You’ve got experience in sales or a customer-facing role, and even better if it’s in the B2B SaaS world, or you might be a more experienced SDR with some years in the field and after a new challenge with an awesome team
  • You’re great at communicating clearly and effectively, sparking interest, and having meaningful conversations with clients.
  • You’re naturally organized, keep multiple tasks and follow-ups on track without missing a beat.
  • You genuinely care about customers, with a knack for listening actively and understanding their pain points.
  • You love working in a team, always ready to support and contribute to group efforts.
  • You’re a problem solver at heart—able to talk through complex products and find solutions with little guidance, always looking for ways to improve.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, quickly adapting to feedback, and hungry to learn and build your career with a top-notch tech company.

Bonus stuff

  • Sales development experience in a SaaS environment and/or experience with a CRM, such as Hubspot.
  • Knowledge of resource/project management will give you a great head start!
