🕐 Hours: Full-time, with a later start (11am–12pm onwards) to align with international markets; you’ll need to be flexible with your hours to jump on sales calls outside of those hours to meet our schools where they are.
💰 Package: $50,000 base salary + uncapped commission. Additional perks include ESOP, Wellbeing + PD Allowances, EAP.
The Role
We’re looking for two full-time Sales Development Reps (SDRs) to join our go-to-market team in Christchurch. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role perfect for someone early in their career who is ready to grow fast, take ownership, and make a meaningful difference in the world of education.
You’ll be the first point of contact with prospective schools across the globe, driving top-of-funnel activity, sparking interest, and booking high-quality demos with school leaders.
💼 Day to day you’ll be
Owning the top of the sales funnel, from prospect research to first contact to qualified handover
Running thoughtful outbound campaigns using email, calls, and LinkedIn
Building and preparing lists of target accounts and contacts for outreach
Running qualification calls with precision and curiosity to best set them up for the Komodo journey
Booking qualified demos for our Account Executives with a smooth handover
Tracking progress, notes, and engagement in HubSpot & Gong
Actively working on your growth and development through training and reflective practice through Gong
Utilising AI tools to improve your efficiency and quality of sales outreach
Learning from feedback and coaching to sharpen your outreach and sales instincts

Have 0–2 years of experience as an SDR/BDR or outbound role and are hungry to learn
Are highly motivated by goals and love the buzz of hitting targets
Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in written format
Bring a curious mindset and genuinely enjoy solving problems
A dedicated team player who works towards tactics for the overall growth of the company and sales infrastructure
A clear passion for learning and self-improvement to grow within and beyond the role
Are organised and independent, but excited to collaborate and learn as part of a team
A fierce dedication to improving school wellbeing on a global scale
Drive to improve systems used within the team or identify gaps to improve how we run as a sales team
Actively utilising AI in your daily workflows, and curious to try out new operating methods
Are based in Christchurch and open to working later hours to reach international schools
Are familiar with HubSpot, Gong, or similar tools (bonus and not required)
💸 What you can earn
Our commission model is simple and uncapped. You’ll be rewarded for the schools you qualify, and progress into a platform walkthrough.

Komodo Wellbeing provides a data-driven, evidence-based wellbeing management platform for schools. Its mission is to ensure every student flourishes by integrating wellbeing measurement, mental health initiatives, social-emotional learning, and mindfulness practices into daily school life. The software empowers students and enables educators to make positive and effective interventions, prioritizing the holistic development of both students and teachers globally.
