Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Development Manager to lead and scale our Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. This role is pivotal in building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities for our sales organization, developing SDRs into top-performing professionals, and collaborating closely with marketing and sales leadership to refine outreach strategies and qualification quality.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of SDRs.
- Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
- Motivate the team to consistently exceed activity and pipeline generation targets.
Pipeline Growth & Strategy
- Ensure the team maintains a healthy database.
- Develop and execute outbound and inbound prospecting strategies.
- Ensure effective lead qualification, routing, and conversion into opportunities.
- Partner with marketing on campaigns, messaging, and lead nurturing programs.
- Work with sales on strategic targeted accounts
Process & Performance Management
- Establish SDR performance metrics (calls, emails, meetings booked, SQLs).
- Track and analyze results to optimize workflows and improve conversion rates through- the marketing funnel.
- Implement best practices for prospect engagement, CRM use, and reporting for the team and EXCO needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Sales Managers to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
- Provide feedback to Marketing and Product teams on market trends, buyer pain points, and messaging effectiveness.
- Contribute to forecasting and pipeline reviews.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- 3–5+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or inside sales, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership/management role.
- Proven track record of exceeding pipeline generation targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Gong, LinkedIn Navigator).
- Industry know of the energy and commidities market with a focus on data management / ETRM solutions
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
- Language skills (Spanish / German / French)
