The Sales Development Manager is responsible for sales of Private Charter Bus and Cruise Events (private client, corporate events, weddings/social celebrations, school groups, etc.) and Group Ticket sales, closing and up-selling assigned events through influential techniques and excellent customer service to increase sales and ensure successful events. This position reports to the Senior Director of Sales - Groups & Partnerships.
Spend the majority amount of time securing new corporate and group clients. Focusing on key NYC area industries: Financial, Media, Banking, Pharmaceutical, Fashion and Tech.
This role is for someone who can sell outbound to corporate decision makers in a large untapped marketplace.

Responsibilities:
● Respond to all inbound requests (from website and email) as assigned for Group Sales and Private Events within Service Expectation Guidelines
● Create and deliver accurate Sales Quotes to customers in a timely manner within Service Expectation Guidelines
- Sales Conversion - Successfully convert prospects to clients by conducting telephone sales calls to both new and existing guests, and using effective closing techniques
- Successfully upsell to higher value items
- Handle objections and resolve guest problems
- Meet goals as provided
- Lead Generation Network through current/past guests, build new pipeline/charter offerings to create new revenue opportunities with local businesses, schools, churches, corporations, tour and travel operators and conduct outbound call campaigns.
- Maintain organized and up to date documentation of all client communications in Zendesk
- Communicate and finalize all logistics of Charter Sales:
- Specific areas of event contracts for clear execution by service team; including but not limited to the event itinerary, menu and beverage program as applicable, guaranteed guest count, DJ, Photographer, etc.
Guest Service:
- Ensure prompt responses to all guest inquiries within Service Expectation Guidelines
- Ensure complete and accurate product details are communicated to Operations team to ensure proper product execution
- Follow up with customer within 24 hours after charter to further develop the account and to:
- Thank client
- Obtain feedback
- Inquire about additional bookings
- Get referrals Work with Manager of Group Sales to resolve all guest issues
Administrative:
- Use Zendesk Sell CRM system to effectively respond to all inbound sales inquiries and to accurately build database of customer details
- Use Zendesk CRM systems to effectively plan and manage sales activities and to track productivity of these sales activities
- Maintain organization through time management, setting priorities, and accurate paperwork
- Additional job duties as assigned. (To include of work hours as needed)
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of outbound sales experience and partnership collaboration
- High energy and positive attitude.
- Strong data analysis skill-set.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straight-forward manner.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make independent decisions.
- Intermediate ability to use Google Drive, docs, sheets, slides and Microsoft Office.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Manage time and priorities effectively.
- Present ideas and recommendations in a professional, organized and logical manner.
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $85,000 per year plus commission
