The Sales Coordinator role is an entry-level development position designed to support the sales team while preparing individuals for future advancement into Inside Sales and ultimately Outside Sales roles.
Responsibilities- Support the sales team throughout the sales cycle
- Answer customer phone calls and emails in a timely manner
- Enter orders, quotes, and sales data accurately
- Follow orders from entry through shipment
- Assist customers with pricing, availability, delivery, and product questions
- Build reports and assist with market research and sales projects
- Communicate with Operations, Shipping, and other departments as needed
- Learn Vulcan products, systems, and sales processes
- Assist teammates and contribute to a positive team environment

QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to learn ERP and business systems
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
- Travel may occasionally be required for customer visits, training and industry events.
Preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- 2 or more years’ experience in sales
