Join us as our new Sales & Business Development Manager, Household Care – Southeast Asia

Are you ready to build new customer partnerships, open doors where Novonesis has limited presence today, and shape the future of household care in one of the world’s most dynamic markets? Join our Household Care team and take ownership of growing our business in Indonesia.

In this role, you’ll make an impact by:

You will take commercial ownership of a defined geography and customer portfolio, with a clear mandate to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities. You will lead customer engagement from early ideas through development of clear and compelling value propositions, project prioritization, and commercial agreements. The role requires persistence, strong stakeholder navigation, and the ability to translate technical solutions into compelling business value by working with our technical team.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Identifying, prioritizing, and developing new customers and applications in Indonesia, with a strong focus on white space and underpenetrated segments
  • Managing and growing selected existing accounts, acting as the main commercial point of contact
  • Building strong relationships with customer decision-makers across R&D, procurement, marketing, and senior management
  • Developing clear customer value propositions together with technical and marketing colleagues
  • Driving opportunity pipelines with structure and discipline, from early exploration to project conversion and launch
  • Leading commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and account plans in alignment with regional strategy
  • Monitoring market developments, competitor activity, and customer trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Coordinating closely with Industry Technology Specialists and global teams to ensure effective project delivery

Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with technical specialists, marketing, supply chain, and management to ensure aligned customer strategies and consistent execution.

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Have proven experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, ideally within household care, FMCG ingredients, chemicals, or adjacent industries
  • Bring a strong track record of developing new customers or growing low-base businesses
  • Be comfortable engaging with customers at multiple levels, from technical teams to senior commercial decision-makers
  • Demonstrate strong commercial judgment, ownership mentality, and execution discipline
  • Be structured, persistent, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in early-stage opportunities
  • Communicate clearly and convincingly, turning complex solutions into simple business value
  • Be willing to travel regularly within the region
  • Be fluent in English, oral and written; Bahasa Indonesia or other regional languages are a strong advantage

Experience in household care is an advantage, but commercial capability, curiosity, and the ability to win customer trust are more important than perfect domain knowledge.
