ResponsibilitiesDuties:
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, assisting travelers with product information and purchases.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and display areas.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, handle transactions accurately, and follow all cash-handling procedures.
- Restock merchandise, monitor inventory levels, and assist with receiving and organizing shipments.
- Support store opening, mid‑day, and closing procedures as assigned.
- Help educate customers about artist-designed products and the mission behind the store’s offerings.
- Follow airport retail guidelines, safety protocols, and badge‑access requirements.
- Perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting merchandise, standing for extended periods, and maintaining stock areas.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain an SFO Badge.
- Ability to perform computer work, heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), long periods of standing, climbing, and bending.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts as needed.
- Available shifts: Opening Shift 6:45 am–2:45 pm, Mid Shift 11:45 am–6:45 pm, and Closing Shift 2:45 pm–10:45 pm.
- Preferred but not required: Prior experience working at SFO; experience in the arts or a related field.Benefits:
- Salary rate: $23.00 per hour, with room for growth based on demonstrated proficiency and punctuality.
- A $12-per-shift transportation stipend, provided in addition to the SFO Employee Bart Discount Card Program.
