ScheduleApplicants must be available for all three shifts:
- Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Welcome and assist customers and donors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Help donors unload and process donated items.
- Answer questions and provide excellent customer service.
- Organize and prioritize daily tasks effectively.
- Operate the cash register and process sales transactions.
- Assist with donation pickups when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and appealing sales floor and merchandise displays.
- Help ensure the security and proper handling of store merchandise.
- Sort, price, tag, and prepare donated items for sale.
- Assist with organizing and disposing of non-sellable donations.
- Support inventory flow and stock rotation.
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Report maintenance or equipment concerns promptly.
- Attend quarterly team meetings.
- Support the thrift store's mission, goals, and policies.
- Contribute positively to the success of the team and Hope House Foundation.
- Assist with special projects, including support for the Hope House Foundation booth at the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival and other community events.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle donated merchandise.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous retail, customer service, cashier, or thrift store experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service to shoppers and donors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be available to work all scheduled shifts:
- Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move donated merchandise (up to 40 pounds).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable operating a cash register and handling cash transactions accurately.
Skills Required
