Description
Under general supervision, responsible for selling eyewear relative to eyeglasses and contact lenses at assigned retail store(s).
Essential Functions
Sell eyeglass and contact lenses and company licensed products in retail store locations as assigned.
Assist patients with selection of eyewear, using a consultative style to uncover needs and make appropriate recommendations.
Enter specific data related to eyeglass and contact lens sales.
Execute minor eyeglass repairs and adjustments.
Assist and support office duties such as answering phones, greeting patients, and scheduling appointments.
Increase sales revenues by providing product expertise and quality customer service in a proactive, professional manner.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with store management and associates to maximize problem resolution and compliance support.
Perform all other functions as required.

Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Two years of retail, optical, or customer service experience
Ability to build effective relationships and resolve a variety of issues
Ability to work with the public in a retail environment
Ability to elevate the perception and image of company and its brands
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Travel may be required
For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
Working Conditions
The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
