Sales Associate - Wichita - Pawnee & Seneca

Primary Accountability: This position assists the Management staff in directing the efforts of and is responsible for the results of an individual Tradepost store. This person must be energetic and enthusiastic, willing to engage customers with a sales minded attitude, and display pride in our stores through strong work ethics, organizational skills and cleanliness.

Major Duties:

• Assist the efforts of the store and all associates at the location.

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.

• Maintain responsibility for overall financial performance of individual store.

• Maintain solid communication and feedback relationship with store management.

• Hold complete knowledge of and strictly abide by the company’s approach and systems (i.e. educational materials/systems)

• Ensure interior and exterior of store is kept to company standards

• Seek to gain knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products. This includes product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

• Maintain team environment between associates.

• Assist in all store operational tasks (inventory, cash protection and loss prevention, overhead and supply costs, and any other tasks that might be required)

• Protects sales associates and customers by providing a safe and clean environment.

• Actively participate in the Grass Roots Marketing activities.

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Must be over the age of 18 years of age.

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.

• Display enthusiasm towards sales and customer service.

• Strong attention to detail.

 Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.

• Ability to lift, un-pack, carry and move supplies up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Work Environment:

• Retail store environment.

• Constant interaction with staff and customers.

Senior Sales Associate

Statement: This is the first step into management in the world of Tradepost. You will be running your own shifts, provide leadership to others and at times be responsible for opening and closing the store. 

Primary Accountability: This position assists the Management staff in directing the efforts of and is responsible for the results of an individual Tradepost store. This person must be well versed on the company’s systems for running a successful Tradepost store (both in knowledge and in results) and has a “top level” P&L, staffing and customer satisfaction responsibilities for their store.
