Automotive Sales Business Development Representative (BDR)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our automotive sales team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers, responding to inbound inquiries, generating appointments, and nurturing leads through phone calls, text messages, email, and online communication. Your goal is to provide an outstanding customer experience while helping drive showroom traffic and vehicle sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to internet, phone, and text inquiries from prospective customers.

  • Make outbound calls to follow up on leads and re-engage previous customers.

  • Schedule and confirm appointments for the sales team.

  • Build rapport with customers and identify their vehicle needs.

  • Maintain accurate customer information and detailed notes in the CRM.

  • Follow up consistently with prospects to maximize appointment show rates.

  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals, including outbound calls, appointments set, and appointments shown.

  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Stay knowledgeable about current inventory, promotions, and dealership offerings.

  • Maintain a professional, positive attitude while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service, sales, call center, or automotive experience is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Basic computer proficiency and experience using CRM software is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
