Sales Advisor

 Essential Job Functions:
  • The sales consultant is responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. This position includes four broad areas of activity: disciplined personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with our customers.  Delight customers and provide service after-the-sale to ensure High Manufacturer CSI customer satisfaction survey scores and positive social media reviews.
  • Follow-up on all sales leads from a variety of sources including phone, walk-ins, internet, etc.; maintain all prospect and customer interactions on CRM system; follow the established dealership sales processes.
  • Keep abreast of vehicles' features, conditions, and warranty status of new & used vehicle makes and models, trim levels, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers.
  • Keep abreast of current and incoming inventory.
  • Demonstrate new and pre-owned vehicles (includes test drives).
  • Deliver vehicles to customers to ensure they understand the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to the service department and work with the service department to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer.
  • Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
  • Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequirements:
  • Shifts vary;  Dealership Operates Monday – Saturday; Scheduling may require weekends before/after business hours. 
  • High school diploma or the equivalent and authorized to work in the USA for any employer
  • All applicants must have a current and valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and must be insurable under our garage-keepers policy standards
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Basic communication, problem-solving, and mathematical skills using American units of measure
  • Physical demands include: frequently traverse multi-level Dealership property and various terrain;  position body and move in order to greet clients and explain vehicle features; drive vehicles; detect and identify vehicle issues and safety concerns; exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 20lbs occasionally, 10lbs frequently); operate equipment; repetitive motion. 
  • Work is conducted inside, outside, in all weather conditions, on public and private roadways, and in proximity to moving vehicles and equipment in a shop environment with potential exposure to loud *noises and various industrial *chemicals.

Skills Required
