Job Description:
Longhorn Energy & Transportation LLC is in search of a proficient Safety Relief Valve Technician to become a part of our team. The perfect candidate will possess knowledge in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of safety valves to guarantee optimal functionality and adherence to industry regulations. This role entails working with various pressure relief valves across multiple industrial environments.  with the company covering 100% of employee medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs pressure relief valve repair in accordance with National Board Inspection Code approved quality manual.
  • Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
  • Operate equipment, including forklift, sandblaster, parts washer, propylene torch, etc.
  • Disassemble valves without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual.
  • Document and enter job data into the database, including photograph documentation.
  • Coordinate with office personnel on repair requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain equipment in the area, as required.
  • Perform cleaning, blasting, and painting of valve components.
  • Return Valves/Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc.
  • Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify valves per manufacturer’s repair manuals.
  • May be required to assist in field assignments.
  • May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on the job scope.
  • Operate motor vehicles, as required.
  • Attending job and safety training, as necessary or required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Must possess the ability to walk and climb, excluding non-field duty situations.
  • Clear speech and hearing abilities, or alternative communication skills with or without reasonable accommodations, to facilitate effective communication.
  • Satisfactory vision or observational skills, with or without reasonable accommodations, enabling the employee to conduct investigations.
  • Adequate manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodations, to execute routine office tasks.
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to carry out office responsibilities and travel as needed to off-site locations.
  • Adequate personal mobility for navigation within a refinery or plant setting, including the ability to access elevated platforms through ladders and stairwells.
  • Capacity to maintain focus and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications a plus.
  • Solid working knowledge of the ASME and NBIC codes a plus.
