Job Description
- Ensure Organization complies with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of EHS laws and regulations and communicate changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety measures and make necessary adjustment.
- Develop and deliver training programs on EHS topics for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of safety through continuous education and awareness campaigns.
- Provide guidance and support to staff regarding EHS best practices.
- Lead investigation into incidents and near-misses to identify root cause and recommend preventive measures.
- Document and report incidents, ensuring accurate and thorough records are maintained.
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure proper implementation.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate emergency drills and training to ensure preparedness.
- Act as a primary contact for emergency situations and coordinate response efforts.
- Oversea waste management, pollution, control, and reduce conservation program.
- Implement and monitor environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct environmental impact assessment and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Create and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to the organization’s operation.
- Ensure all safety equipment and PPE are available, properly maintained, and used correctly.
- Develop safety policies and procedures and ensure their integration into everyday practices
- Work closely with other departments, such as production and maintenance, to promote culture of safety and ensure safety measures are integrated into operations.
- Stay updated on new safety technologies, regulations, and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve the safety program.
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure they are within acceptable limits for health and environmental impact, addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: (Preferred) Related degree to Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or other related fields or,
- Experience: 2-3 years of experiences in Safety or EHS role.
